An experienced nurse, midwife, lactation consultant and childbirth educator with thirty five years of experience, Libby has many strings to her bow. She is warm and gentle with a calming personality; helping mothers, babies and new families feel at ease navigating this exciting and vulnerable time. As part of her work at Libby & Co, Libby works alongside groups and couples, offering antenatal advice in preparation for parenthood.

‘As a midwife I have provided postnatal care for private obstetricians for the last 20 years as well as working at Auckland hospital. I have looked after thousands of families and helped them adjust to taking a new baby home for the first time, and working through the challenges that sometimes can arise during this precious time. Libby and Co grew out of my passion to try and make this short and intense time be as enjoyable as possible.
I often consult on baby health, settling as well as lactation advice beyond the fourth trimester.’

ANDRINA WILSON (SHE/HER)

Andrina worked as a hospital midwife before leaving to have children of her own; she reconnected with Libby Cain over a passion to provide expert, gentle and holistic support to new parents.

She now works with families who are struggling with sleep issues, having studied maternity and child sleep through the International Parenting and Health Institute, based in America. This course centred around gentle, holistic sleep advice, rather than the common one size fits most approach, which did not suit her personal philosophy. She offers individualised settling and sleep support; specific to your whanau, your baby and your own parenting philosophy. She also offers tips and tricks for better sleep during pregnancy.

Her main focus is to help families transition into their parenthood journey, and to understand what is biologically normal for their babies. Empowering people with the understanding that babies waking frequently to feed is normal and breaking down modern fallacies such as that babies will sleep through the night within a few weeks, she gives parents individualised information to optimize their baby's sleep in a responsive way that offers and alternative to traditional sleep training.

Jessica is not your run-of-the-mill nutritionist, she does not follow fads or recommend that you go on extreme diets to achieve your health goals. Instead, with her, it all comes down to science and balance, which leads to a sustainable health journey and lifestyle.

Jessica founded Wellness by Jessica back in 2015 due to her passion for helping people achieve their wellness goals. Since then, she has w orked with patients from different parts of the world and become and important part of their wellness journey. For Jessica, trie wellness is finding a balance of solutions that work for them, each person will have their own balance point. It's a process of figuring out which foods make you feel best, which health habits are sustainable alongside your lifestyle, and finding a method of movement that you enjoy.

Some of the health challenges that Jessica helps to resolve and manage are: PCOS, endemetriosis, painful menstruation, diabetes, digestive issues, nutrition for pregnancy and breastfeeding, and fertility struggles. When consulting with her, she looks at more than what you eat, but also your lifestyle, your history and your goals, and she will incorporate diagnostic testing when necessary. Jessica does not aim to offer you a one-off treatment plan, but skills and knowledge to enable you to make lasting changes to your health.

Tui offers targeted and restorative massage to ease pain and imbalance in the body, in a gentle and effective way. 'Massage lowers stress hormones in the body, meaning baby will also be less stressed.' Honeysuckle Aotearoa's services are also available to partners of pregnant people, along with other whānau members who wish to receive massage.
